Thalea Quartet to Premiere Paola's String Quartet "The Red Book" at Caramoor, April 11

On April 11, 2021, the Thalea Quartet will give the world premiere performance of Paola Prestini's string quartet "The Red Book" at Caramoor. The quartet was inspired by psychologist Carl Jung's posthumous publication The Red Book: Liber Novus, an influential book that was at the center of Jung's exploration into the unconscious but which was only shared with the public for the first time in 2009, nearly 50 years after his death. Tickets to the livestreamed event are available HERE.

Prior to the concert, on March 28, Paola will be joined by Sonu Shamdasani, the original editor of The Red Book, for a Caramoor Conversation to discuss the relationships between the music and Jung's iconography, visuals, and writings. Learn more and view the free livestream HERE.
